                  Skills Attributes and Employment Development

                               

     As this is my third blog, now here I am going to explain about the modules that I am currently studying in the first semester here at Islington College and describe what I hope to learn from these modules and how they will help me in my career later. The college provides me the computing course with the good modules. For now I'm learning 4 modules specialized in different areas of information Technology that includes:

*Study Skills for Computing

*Logic

*Problem solving for IT

*Introduction to programming

     Study Skills for Computing is the module that I am currently studying which helps me to present something infront of anyone, it helps me to make my English fluent and increase my confidence. It will also help me to get a good job by presenting myself properly in future.

     Logic is another module of my course, which helps me to make mathematical problems solve easily, it also helps me to correct some of computer errors relating to mathematics. And in my future career it will also help me to solve logical errors and make me a good programmer.

     Problem Solving for IT is yet another interesting module, which teaches me how to understand and deal with difficult questions or things, apply logic or reasoning to review information, identify problems, their causes, evaluate options and select the best solution.

It helps me to be good in logical question mostly asked in job interviews and the most important part is that it teaches all the methods that are used in solving problems.

     And the last and the important module is the Introduction to Programming in this module it gives the knowledge of java programming in which we can develop new software, games, applications etc. and by learning this module we can be a good software developer in future.

These are my modules in my first semester of my college and these are the things, which are taught to us to make us good and successful in our future career.

MY ACHIEVEMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS

Can earlier achievements of our study can help on our future study or career? WelI yes, because our earlier achievements is our base. And to start anything we need a base. The base makes us strong and confident to solve future problems that helps to build up a good career, makes life comfortable. So, today I am talking about my achievements and how it can help in my further course of study. I have taken part in different quiz competition, which can build up my confidence in presentation on my upcoming classes.   

     I have done C-programming earlier in my +2 level. Because of that I already have the knowledge of coding, loops, variables,integers and so on which made me easier to understand java programming on my 1^st  semester and hope it will help till the 3 years of my study.

No matter what subject you pick up, English is needed everywhere. Related to that I have done IELTS few months earlier scoring a good score of 6.5 that can help me in presentation, vocabulary and most importantly on report writing. Because Report writing on some selected topic will be the final year project of my study.

          I expect to be hard working and sincere as I chose computing as my course of study in the College.I will try to understand, analyze the problem and try to solve the problem as to be a good programmer. Understanding the problem can help me in both the subject “problem solving for IT” and “Logic”. I hope to learn new skills and come out as an industry ready graduate. I will try to turn into responsible individuals.

Finally, if I could make my earlier achievements in practice it will be advantage for me in my further 3 years course of the study. I hope my college will open many opportunities that will be beyond my expectation and make the college and myself proud. .

about me

       I am just a normal 19 year old teenage boy fond of sports, playing video games, riding bikes, having parties which is the trend these days. I like adventures too. If I ever got chance in my life, I would like to travel around the world, do the crazy stuffs like paragliding, cliff jump, bungee jump and much more. Talking about my education, completed my +2(being Computer Science faculty ) from Himalayan White House International College. My actual birth place is Pokhara, one of the most beautiful city of Nepal( famous for beautiful mountains, lakes and different monuments). But currently i live in Boudha.
                      
 As I like computer since my earlier times I chose IT for my Bachelor level. It is the most emerging content these days and is providing more opportunities in this competitive, growing market.  I have recently joined "Islington College"(which i have heard from my friends and different media's earlier). On my further research i found that it is one of the finest college offering IT degrees(degree in computing, networking and multimedia). The new and interesting thing about this college is that it is affiliated to the UK universities. It is directly partner to the "London Metropolitan University"(one of the largest universities in UK). Students are offered with International degree which is a plus point. It has got better facilities and infrastructures along with the outstanding teaching staffs.  The college has always been known for it's excellent academic performance and after joining this college I felt these things myself. I have never been so hardworking at study. But after taking IT as my career I should really work hard and I know I will. I will have to come up with a decent result to achieve a secure future.
