BLOG 2 - THE ROLES I PLAY EACH DAY

The roles that a person plays in life have a lot to do with the type of job, family dynamics, and the environment in which a person lives. So today I am going to explain about some of those roles I play each day meeting the particular criteria.

I play a lot of roles in a day. I cannot explain each role because it will be lengthy and time consuming. But I will explain some important one. The first and most important role that I play every day when I wake up in the morning is a role of a son. As a son I love and respect my mother and father. But somewhere I am careless. I usually wake up late in the morning. To wake me up my father’s call is needed. Every morning his knock on my room’s door wakes me up. My mother always gets angry with me on two things. One that I never eat my morning meal before going college or any other places another the way I ride my motorbike. She complains about these things because she loves me cares for me. So before I go somewhere I always ask her and inform her. This role is full of love, care, emotion and respect.

As a student I am expected to attend college and I usually follow that. I follow college rules and expectations. Everyday I have several tasks to do and try to complete them in given time. Though I work hard sometimes I cannot reach up to my expectation. This role is very important for my future in almost every way. I gain important experiences valuable to life as well as education to help me progress.
Another important role that I play each day is a friend. As a friend I am expected to be loyal. I always try to be kind and helpful to my friends. I never   hold my secrets within the heart; I always share them with my friends. I always try to stand by my friend and there is a saying also “a friend in a need is a friend indeed.”

So, these are the some important roles that I play each day. In these roles I am doing my best to act perfectly but I can't say that I'm excellent in any of these roles. There’s lot be improved and I am working on it. These roles are really important for me because it defines my character, my feelings and my overall personality.

BLOG 4 - DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 'FEAR' AND 'RESPECT'

Emotions play an important role in our daily lives. Fear is one such distressing human emotion aroused by impending danger evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined. In other words Fear is the feeling or condition of being afraid. Whereas Respect is something that can be earned through someone’s feelings, needs, ideas and wishes into consideration.

So, fear and respect cannot be compared, there is a huge difference between them. Some abusive people can obtain respect by dishing out fear. That's the only connection between them. Normally fear of a person is not respect, but simply fears itself is a bodily harm. Respect is earned and it's when someone treats you like a human being with kindness, love and affection along with trust and honor that you respect that person.

Respect involves regard for moral worth. There are people I may disagree with but look up to as decent and principled and so on. People who are feared for their violence and brutality are morally contemptible.
In fact, giving someone respect is same as of reflection, earning a respect from others too. As the word fear is the thought of danger on human and respect is the good feelings showing to others.

As human, the presence of fear is always on us, it can be real or imaginary depending on a misperception of a situation, which leads to feel anxiety, and insecure causes a toxic in our life. Respect is a nurturing a care and encouraging others for the development. Fear destroys the self-confidence of one’s but Respect builds it. Fear is life threatening and Respect is life enhancing. Fear is a sense of force generating more and more by a little and   Respect is earned by more and more respect to others. Panic is an immediate physical response to unrealistic and irrational fears, which can have a huge affect on both emotional and physical well-being. Respect is easier to lose then it is to gain, as it can be lost in an instant one word, one decision or one action. People can spend their whole lives thinking of ways to earn respect, but unless they do something they will never get it. It is hard for people to get good jobs if they are not respectable.

Everyone who seeks success in life should shield his or her mind from fear thought. In the meantime, their mind is totally devoid of positive thoughts, which are so vital to success. In contrast, respect is something everyone wants and something no one wants to lose. So, fear can be considered as of destruction and respect as success in life.

BLOG 3 - The difference between 'arrogance' and 'confidence'.

This topic has been a long run debate in my mind. But my devoted researches and findings on this particular topic turned out to be useful for me.I came to a certain conclusion. From the findings I can say that the difference between arrogance and confidence shows in our emotional state. Arrogance makes us insecure whereas confidence gives us peace of mind. The more arrogant we become, the more keenly we feel the dependence of our happiness upon the misfortune and weakness of others. This ironic dependence makes the seeming confidence of the arrogant increasingly insecure. The more they bolster this false self-confidence on the outside, the less secure they become inside; so the ‘happiness’ of the arrogant is self-consuming.

Nichiren Daishonin, for example, wrote from exile, “Whatever obstacles I might encounter, so long as persons of wisdom do not prove my teachings to be false, I will never yield!” (The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, p. 280). His vow to be steadfast in his belief comes with the condition—“so long as persons of wisdom do not prove my teachings to be false.” This was an expression of the unruffled openness of the confident, not of the blind obstinacy of the arrogant.

For example, think about how people behave at work. Unlike an arrogant manager who takes any suggestion as a personal criticism and everyone in the office as a potential threat, a confident manager takes even personal criticism as an opportunity for self-reflection and further improvement. The inner state of an arrogant person is constantly agitated, waiting for any opportunity to assert a sense of superiority. But the inner state of a confident person absorbs even an untoward event like a pebble tossed into a bathtub, as opposed to a wineglass.

Therefore, a clear concept can be made now that arrogance is not “too much” confidence. The essential difference between arrogance and confidence is not one of quantity or degree, but of quality and origin. Arrogance is needy and dependent on others, derived from comparison with the external. Confidence is free and independent of others, found and cultivated in the self.

BLOG 1 - Personality test

http://www.41q.com/img/main_px.gif

My personality type: "Engaged Idealist"

Popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. Externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel. Usually dislike being alone. They see everything from the human angle and dislike impersonal analysis. Very effective at managing people issues and leading group discussions. Interested in serving others and probably place the needs of others over their own needs.

Careers that could fit you include:
Teachers, consultants, psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, clergy, sales representatives, human resources, managers, events coordinators, politicians, diplomats, writers, actors, designers, homemakers, musicians, religious workers.

Renowned persons with similar personality types:

*Barack Obama, American president
*Ben Affleck, actor
*Ben Stiller, actor and comedian
*Martin Luther King Jr., minister and civil rights activist
*François Mitterrand, French president
*Johnny Depp, actor
*Matthew McConaughey, actor
*Mikhail Gorbachev, last leader of Soviet Union
*Petros "Pete" Sampras, tennis champion
*Tommy Lee Jones, actor

My response to the outcome: The outcome was quite up to my expectation. It described me as I am in the real practical life. The personality-meter-bar and personality test was so accurate the made me surprised. But I disagree with the fact that the test linked me with the people who are engaged in politics because I had never been interested in the political field. But I was happy to see the career i could fit in mainly the career with music, acting, and a social worker because these are my passion.

My views towards the personality-meter-bar section: Well ,I agree with the first bar result that I am a Extroverted type of a person since I always prefer hanging out with the friends and as I had already mentioned earlier I always participate in social activities.

The second bar shows that I am both sensing and intuitive which is true because I make decision based on both facts and standards.

The third bar shows thah I am in between a thinker and a feeling type of person.Well, that right again
because I think with feeling the things.

The last bar shows that I am judging kind of a person. That's not actually what I am but yeah, sometime I make early decision because sometime I could not adapt the things easily. But only sometime, normally I can deal with the situation.
